A collection of prints and mixed medium, inspired by a series of women.

This series is entitled 'The Raree Show.' Whilst creating her works, Jamie draws inspiration from the illicit historical peep shows that originated as early as the 16th Century. These were intimate viewings, in which a client could look in on women in vulnerable or sexual positions through a peep-hole. Inspired by this, she creates her pieces around women in similar poses, often semi-nude, never looking directly at the spectator as though on display. Jamie wants to express that her subjects appear unaware of an audience, as opposed to the peep-show employed. This creates an open invitation for onlookers to feel whatever they feel about the subject, and decide what kind of story she has to tell beneath the skin.
